Please read these terms carefully before using our website or placing an order. They set out the rules for buying from EVShop and the agreement between you and us.

1. Introduction & Acceptance
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the EVShop website and the purchase of any products from us. By browsing our website, creating an account, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our website or place an order with us.
2. About Us
EVShop is a small, Sri Lanka–based online shop specialising in the buying and selling of electrical parts and components, serving customers across Sri Lanka. References to "we," "us," and "our" in these Terms mean EVShop. References to "you" and "your" mean the customer or website visitor.
3. Eligibility
To place an order, you must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a legally binding contract. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
4. Your Account
You may browse our website without an account, but certain features require registration. When you create an account, you are responsible for:
- Keeping your username and password confidential and secure;
- All activity that takes place under your account;
- Notifying us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
We may suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or that the account has been used fraudulently.
5. Products, Descriptions & Pricing
We take care to describe and price our products accurately. However, please note:
- Product images are for illustration only and may differ slightly from the actual item.
- Specifications, compatibility details, and stock availability may change without notice.
- All prices are listed in Sri Lankan Rupees (Rs.) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown separately at checkout.
If a product is listed with an incorrect price or description due to a genuine error, we reserve the right to cancel or correct the order, even after it has been confirmed. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we will refund the amount in full.
6. Orders & Order Acceptance
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products. We will send an order confirmation acknowledging that we have received your order. This confirmation does not mean your order has been accepted.
A binding contract is formed only when we confirm that your order has been accepted and dispatched. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order — for example, where products are out of stock, where there is a pricing error, or where we suspect fraudulent activity.
7. Payment
We accept payment through secure third-party payment gateways (such as PayHere or Genie) and bank transfer. We do not store your card details on our servers.
- Full payment is required before an order is dispatched, unless a different arrangement (such as cash on delivery, where offered) is agreed.
- By submitting payment details, you confirm that you are authorised to use the chosen payment method.
- Orders are processed once payment has been successfully received and verified.
8. Shipping & Delivery
We deliver across Sri Lanka through our courier and delivery partners. Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide and are not guaranteed, as delays can occur due to factors outside our control.
- You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
- Risk in the products passes to you once they have been delivered to the address you provided.

9. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations
If you receive a product that is faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us promptly so we can put it right. Returns, refunds, and cancellations are handled in accordance with our separate Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Certain items — such as electrical components that have been installed, modified, or damaged after delivery — may not be eligible for return for safety and hygiene reasons. Please review the Refund Policy for full details.
10.Product Suitability & Safety
Our products are electrical parts and components intended for use by competent persons who understand how to select, handle, and install them safely.
- It is your responsibility to confirm that a product is compatible with your vehicle, equipment, or intended use before purchasing. If you are unsure, please contact us before ordering.
- Installation, wiring, and use of electrical components — particularly batteries, chargers, and high-current parts — should be carried out by a qualified or suitably experienced person, following the manufacturer's instructions and applicable safety standards.
- Improper installation, misuse, overloading, or use outside the manufacturer's specifications may be dangerous and will void any applicable warranty.
11. Warranty
Where a product carries a manufacturer's warranty, that warranty applies on the terms set by the manufacturer. Any warranty we offer covers genuine manufacturing defects only and does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear;
- Damage caused by misuse, accident, improper installation, or modification;
- Products used outside their intended purpose or specifications.

12. Acceptable Use
When using our website, you agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, accounts, or data;
- Interfere with the security or proper functioning of the website;
- Copy, scrape, or reproduce our content without permission.
13. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including the EVShop name, logo, text, graphics, and layout — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any of our content without our prior written consent.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Sri Lankan law:
- Our total liability for any claim relating to a product or order is limited to the amount you paid for that product or order;
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, data, or business;
- We are not liable for damage or loss arising from the improper installation, use, or handling of products after delivery.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those websites, and accessing them is at your own risk.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms or your use of our website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
